We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Aaron Davies and Jane St. Pier to our Board of Trustees, strengthening our commitment to supporting charities that make a lasting difference to people’s lives.
Trustees play a vital role in our overall governance, strategic direction, and financial management, as well as ensuring that the grants awarded and developmental support have maximum impact across the Channel Islands. Each year, we distribute about £1 million to charities supporting people who are socially excluded and disadvantage, helping individuals and communities thrive.
With their wealth of experience and shared passion for social impact, Aaron and Jane will bring valuable expertise to our mission of funding, supporting and championing charities in the Channel Islands that make a positive difference to people’s lives.
Aaron Davies is Children’s Services Manager for Action for Children Guernsey and a qualified youth worker with more than 15 years’ experience in frontline practice and leadership. His career has focused on working with young people affected by homelessness, care experience, and substance use. Aaron champions trauma-informed practice and believes deeply in the importance of stability, respect and youth voice.
“Through my work in charities, I’ve seen firsthand the powerful difference the foundation makes,” said Aaron. “Not just for organisations across the charity sector, but also for the people and communities across the Channel Islands who benefit from the foundation’s activities. I look forward to contributing to its continued impact.”
Jane St. Pier is a chartered accountant and experienced non-executive director who has served across Guernsey and UK organisations for the past 15 years. She has chaired the Youth Commission for Guernsey and Alderney, the Convenor and Tribunal Board and co-founded At Home in Guernsey, the first charity dedicated to supporting those at risk of homelessness. Jane brings a wealth of governance expertise and a passion for tackling disadvantage at its root.
